Hi guys!
I was trying to figure out a way to create afterburn particle effects in Maya (using particles instead of fluids but getting fluid look).
I know about the method of applying static fluid shape as volume material of particle SG (one of the "automated" methods of which is also Shipkov's Overburn).
But for some reason Mental Ray is not correctly translating or Maya is not correctly feeding PP driven texture attributes of fluid to Mental Ray, which makes this method unuseable with Mental ray. This is not really a major problem when using layers/passes, but does enyone know a better method?
