I rigged the left arm and it works fine.However, after rigging the right arm, when i translate the rightShoulder_control in Y, the Fk right arm flips wildly.
This flipping occurs right after i orient constraint the right shoulder, body and root space locators to the result group (which has the main arm joints) and to the Fk group (which have the Fk joints/ controls).
1) i have tried using parent constraint instead with just the rotate checked.
2 ) the orient constraint weighting are properly set before i test the right shoulder control.
3) itried playing with the offset values of the orient constraints (result and fk group's) , and it seems like after the joint flips, when i put a value of 720 in the offsetX, the joint flips back to the right position but after moving the shoulder control, it flips back to the unwanted state.
4) the shoulder base joint gets garbage rotation values after the shoulder control is translated.
5) tried orient constraint with both maintain offset on and off.
6) changing interpolation types does not help either (im not sure i fully understand that thing)
Also, is there an alternative way to using orient constraints for fk space switching for arms?
Iam not too experienced with rigging, need sincere help.Its been 3 days since i have been scratching my head over this.
