I am having issues importing Adobe Illustrator files (as in not working at all...)

Nothing happens after import...It used to give an error message that, with research, had to do with grouping and compound paths...

Any advice?

You might want to simplfy what you are trying to import. What version of Illustrator did you save them as?

I am using CS2. I tried making some simple shapes and importing as Adobe Illustrator and it still does not work. (I am ultimately trying to import logos to bevel.)

I don't know what the latest Maya versions support, but there were a lot of issues on importing .ai or eps files when saved as pure Illustrator files. A|W was always 1 or 2 versions late compared to Adobe.

Save in Illustrator as a more "compatible" format (AI version 7 or 8 ) and give a try.

Well thsta because the ai format is not documented past 7-8 so theres no way to verify how the format should work.
