Align Bend Deformer To Extracted Face

Hi there

I have a polygon on stage, from which I extract all the faces. To each face I apply a nonlinear bend deformer, but I need then to align it to be parallel to each face, and not on the initial position that it appears when created...

I thought about aligin it to the Normal of my face, but I cannot really figure out what to align with it... I need maybe to get another vector from the bend deformer, then use the angleBetween command to rotate it, but I'm lost about how to do it...

any ideas?

ok... so the faces are complex in genaral a single face does not get anything form a nonlinear deform.

Are you splitting the faces up afterwards?

Yep, first I get the normal from the single face, apply the bend deform, align it to the face and subdivide it... I guess the subdivision could come before the bend deformer as well...

My only thing is, I want to align the bend deformer to the face, maybe by using the normal information...

tough the asker has a even more convoluted situation actually (and not ready to do the sacrafice for obtng what he can get).

Basically the normal s missing one bit of info and thats around itself. but if you have any outside reference to aim to its a peach. So if you want it to do a polar flow down its easy enough. Actually just 2 vectors is enough so if you can use the u of the surface that too is easy.
