I am looking forward in designing a simple 3d game. After some research on an issue I was having with repetivtive tiling on my textures, because I was mixing my grunge and dirt into my texture, someone from another forum had mentioned to others to try using vertex painting. I youtubed vertex painting, with one tutorial on 3DS MAX showing a simple setup. However, when I tried filtering my search further with the word Maya, I was only getting results on vertex painting using multiple UV sets, which I cannot do since the game engine I am using only supports 2 uv sets, and I need the second uv set for lightmapping. So is the only way I can blend my grunge maps in Maya? The tutorial in Max did not go in that direction.
