Angle measure tools?

is there a way to create a display of an IK joints angle, like the distance measure tool?

You actually want to go back to max don't you? I don't blame you! Take two snapshots of your screen and do it in photoshop...

or better yet draw a linear line place the pivot on one end place the thing on wherever you want to measure your angle and rotate it, press that lovely windows button, pull up that calculator and add or substract the values you get from rotating that line!
(maya defenitely DOESN'T have it all and sometimes you just have to be a BIT creative with it!)

its not that i cant figure out how to measure the angle, i want the number to display and move in the same way the distance measure tool does.

i could do it in photoshop, but i'm doing animations so that might take a while fore each frame ......

i want these moving numeric displays to use as overlays to my animation

surely there must be some way to link the numeric value in the joints attributes to a display node like that in the measure tool?

Yeh, awkey I see. Sorry for my trying to be 'smart' there...
Maybe try posting this in the MEL-forum, it isn't in maya as far as I know so you should turn to those guys...

aw shet, I keep getting ideas for this, it intrigues me, stuff that isn't in maya. Maybe you could fake it by animating a distance tool going up from 0 to 359.9999 and use that display and 'fake' an angletool, I dunno, just shooting here...
