Animating a paper sheet that takes the form of another object

Maybe I'm not posting in the right place. Depends on the solution if I have to use Cloth. I want to animate a sticker sticking to another object progressively. What I mean is that its shape starts from being flat and then the bottom of it bends to take the shape of an irregular cylinder. When the bottom of the sticker is stuck, the top part of it sticks afterwards to the shape.

Don't know if you ever found a solution for this, but you might think about using blend shapes or some of the built in deformers found in Maya (can't remember the right one off the top of my head).
