Greetings,
I need to set up a character that has multiple cloth objects "on him", and I'm using Connect Poly Shape, so to speed up animation procedures I can use the low poly object to wrap deform the high res object. Problem is: I need the cloth to follow the outlines of the high res object, and using a transform constraint for the cloth doesn't work since the actual high res object does not have any translations because it is modified by the low res object. So, when trying to animate the cloth it will always stay in one place and will not follow the high res object. Do you know any solution to that problem?
The particular problem is a cloth object with fur on it (long beard) and I cannotattach the "beard" to the low res poly object.
This thing is driving me insane, really. Mapping the inMesh/outMesh is not an option either because I have already smoothed/set up the high res version. Although the wrap might be terrible slow I see no other solution. Working with the high res poly is far too slow.
Many many thanks for any hints.
