Hello all. On Digital Tutors Creating Cartoon Characters, the instructor does not connect the head to the body in his cartoon human. The cartoon human does not even have a neck. Instead he has a collar that covers up the place where the head would connect with the body. He does of course connect the arms and legs to the body. My question is, how do you go about animating such a character? Do you avoid too much head motion and simply do more facial expressions? It would seem like the head would only be able to move so far without it becoming evident that head is not connected seamlessly to the rest of the body. So how would you animte a cartoon human character such as that so that it is not evident that the head and body are not seamless?
