If you just want to view what it will look like. You can do a playblast with the Render Global stats turned on.
It will take a bit... But It will let you see what is going on just a little bit quicker that Rendering out the Animation to Frames and turning it into an .avi outside of Maya.
Hi gmask can you pls tell me how to do this image sequencing thing and how to later convert it into an avi movie.
and vector i did tried the playblast thing but although it shows animations but it does not render the scene i mean its as good as watching the animation in the perspective mode of the MAYA authoring environment withour effects like glass effects etc. i have tried all the options in the render global menu, plyablast, save batch render etc. also when i want to export it into a MOV it says, cannot save file.
hi, to render a sequence of images just set the start and end frame, the file name, the frame /ani ext. (name.#.ext), and the image format. Render to Targa or Tiff. You can view your image sequence with fcheck. I usually just use Premiere for editing/converting later, but u can also render straight to avi, I do it all the time.
