Hi

I am in Colombia but I want to go to a school in Australia, Canada or Spain. The city does not matter, I just want to go to the best possible school in one of those three countries.

The Vancouver Film School must be pretty good. I talked to some people who teach there at an animation meeting here in Germany and have a quite nice programm. However, it will cost you a bit!

I've been doing some research on the animation school too, as I wanted to futher my animation studies into Degree level as well. VFS is definitely a great animation school but it's courses is Diploma standard, it's still a great choice if you do not mind about the level. Sheridan College in Canada is another choice, but it's quite hard to get in. I've made my application to some schools in USA and UK, but still I keep looking for animation school in Australia(coz they're cheaper:P), please recommend some good college or universities, thanks for your big help~

This might be a bit late for you, but Australia has some good options for aspiring animators. In Canberra there's the Centre for New Media Arts at the Australian National University which offers double-major degrees in two of the following four streams: digital video, 3D animation, computer music and interactive digital media. There's also the Academy of Interactive Entertainment which offers diplomas in 3D animation (oriented on computer game design but they do screen stuff too). In Melbourne there's the Victorian College of Arts and RMIT. In Sydney there's a few private schools but their reputation isn't the best - Sydney Univeristy of Technology is a better option. They also have a Gnomon-style training provider called "VFX Mentor". You'll have to check with the institutions re: fees, 'cause there is a different fee structure for local and international students. And the weather is bloody marvellous.
