Anyone from New Zealand?

Hey all,

My girl-friend and I are planning to up-sticks and move to Wellington NZ, hopefully around September time.

We went on a 2-month voyage of the whole of both islands and absolutely fell in love with it. Yes, it's stunningly beautiful and yes, it's clean but it was the people there that were just so friendly and helpful and just totally made us feel at home. Wellington in particular just had a feel to it that I've never experienced before. It felt more like home than home does! Now we can't wait to get out of our little hell-hole in essex!!

Basically, I'm trying to find out what my best route to finding work within the 3D industry in Wellington would be. I use Max 6 and I've been working free-lance for a year-and-a-half. I'm currently putting together a brand-new show-reel to send out to any Film/ Tv / PostP studios in the area (Obviously including Weta digital, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one!). I'm more interested in just getting into the industry than getting any kind of decent pay, ie: I'll gladly sweep the floor and make coffee.

So, if you're anywhere in NZ, drop me a reply and I'll praise your country for hours on end for you! If you're in or around Welly, and can think of any advice that might help, I'd be eternally grateful!

Cool, thanks mate - I've looked at their site, their work looks great. It's weird cos a lot of the tv adverts that they worked on were on when I was out there and I remember thinking 'Hmm, cool 3d..'

How do you find it living in Welly? I'm insanely jealous!
