Architectural: a loft

Hey all, I'd like to hear any comments, thx. The purpose of the image was to use it instead of real photograph of an existing loft. Client want to achieve photorealistic level of image. I hope I am close enough:)

One word....Amazing!

Although i havent done anything like this before(architecturally), the one tiny thing i noticed was the shadows given off by the stairs and especially the centre worktop/table, the shadows seems to be heading in a slightly different direction to the light coming from the windows, or perhaps its just me. Anyway, still a great piece of work,

this looks really beautiful.

the biggest thing for me are the flowers on the table. How did you make them? They look photoshop - esque. I think its because petals have a degree of translucency that I don't think is represented here. They are in one of the brightest spots in the room, the light should shine through them, giving them some more luminesence. and their shadows should be colored.

Also, I think the light on the floor needs a little bit of fuzz around the edges. It is the sharpest element, even next to the modern countertop!

I love the cabinets. Really beautiful image. Good job!

Details, Details Details(its the little things that make or break photo realism)...its looking very sweet so far, but the details that are needed for true photo realism are:
General refelections are too tight
Plug-ins
many of your corners are too sharp
aribtrary items (not sure what all those spheres are)
more distinction on floor seams
cabnet fixtures
your over head spots seem extremely small
zero functionality to your blinds
zero mechanical functionality to your windows
Lack of caustics
The Fake flowers...

Other than that.....nice job!

Here are the things that rushed to my head as I opened your picture.

1. HOLY [censored]!
2. AMAZING!
3. Is this really CG?
4. Did you achieve this without radiosity?
5. I would love a baked potato right now.
6. I love the metal light fixtures above the table.
7. All of your chrome looks great.

8. I could never keep a kitchen that clean.

9. If this were my project, I wouldn't do any more to it,
   but in the sake of finding somthing to improve on.....
   I agree with the response that the sunlight is very crisp.
   I also am a little confused on the shadows coming from the window, causing the large rectangle in the middle of the floor.
   If I visually draw a line from the shadow to the window, the center frame appears to be cast from one direction, but the top of the window from another, lower light angle.

Not sure if this is true or not. Also I would think that if the sun was at such a low angle, the sky wouldn't be quite as blue. Either more of a morning or afternoon sun. And because of the yellows and oranges in the room, I'd definately get my background to be more of a early evening feeling.
That way you could get some nice yellow/orange glints off of your window chrome.

I always have a hard time with lighting walls and ceilings. But you did a great job with this shot.

Hey guyz, really thanks for all comments - it is such a great thing to have an opinion from other people - you know, some time is difficult to criticise own work during the process, just because you are so in it.
Anyway, this job take about 3 days of intense work. 2 days for modeling and 1 day texturing, lighting and rendering.

As you asked, the lighting solution was done in Lightscape, I still love this program even it is dead ( Discreet has stoped develop it few years ago ) . The strange shadows on the wall behind the stairs and also right next to the center counter are coming from the scondary light ( sky light ) maybe it is a bit stronger but if you take a look on some real situation you can read secondary shadows everywhere around you.
