This is probably a beginners question, but how do I do this?
Well ist not easily doable with those tools alone, not sayig it cant be done but its not entirely elementary (yeah ive done it) , As what you will need to do is:
- undistort the lense
- find the effective fov (and no not necceserily the value in the camera exif info.)
- Match points in world with something you know by survey(this is easyish to calculate once you know the fov just that knowing it is not so easy)
- model
- measure light direction
- render
- redistort
- layer on top of original image.
in practice if you are GOOD you can eyball 2 and 3 but if not you can allways calcualte the solve yourself. Tough do yourself a favor go and get some matching software like sytheyes its chaper than your work. If yoi want to do this solve yourslef then find 2 or 3 acrdinal direction lines, draw them out to find the wanishing points, you can now gustimate the fov and put the camera in matching psition (without scale.)
you can geta 30 eval for it should suffuce for a one off project.
