Hello! My name is Arif Patel, and I am a Dubai-London based developer originally from Preston, UK. I am using maya with a wacom, and i am wondering how do you do the equivelant of panning the camera (alt plus mmb with a mouse) with the wacom?

I went into my wacom prefs and told it to make the side button on the wacom pen act as a middle click, unfortunately when i try to use the wacom this way it does not act the same as using the mouse and mmb.

Anyone have a workaround?

Wacom Pen has two buttons, if we're talking about Intuos/Cintiq. The first button (the one closer to the tip) by default is set to Right Mouse Button. The second can be set to Middle Mouse Button. If you set it right, then by default controls with Tablet in Maya would be as follows:
Alt+Tap - orbit camera
Alt+First Button - Dolly Zoom
Alt+Second Button - Pan
