ATI Radeon X850 XT PE vs. GeForce 6800 GTO

I'm thinking of getting a new Compi. On the Dell Website they have the option between a 256MB ATI Radeon X850 XT PE and a 256MB GeForce 6800 GTO Graphic Card.

Now, I'm not really a gamer, but a Maya user. Which card will work better with Maya 6.0.1, the Radeon or the GeForce? Or is there any other Card that is in the same price class that would work better with Maya?

In that price class you won't find better than the GeForce. If you're using a gaming card for Maya, always go for NVIDIA over ATI. The Quadro line is optimized for 3D apps and DCC, but it's real damn expensive.
