Dont make the switch from 1 to 0 that fast do it smoothly. but yeah speed differences are part or the problem...
What i would do is group the camera then remake the path so that all the inbetween jumps are part of the same path animation attach the group to the path. And then animate the camera rotation manualy for those in between shots remebering to set them back on 0 0 0 just in time for the next path.
Or do a preliminary anim with the first method bake and simplify then tweak later.
