Audio problem (2)

Hi all

I am running xsi 2.0.1. first time i ran the programme it said that audio device was not configured properly. after checking the documentation, i have made sure that play audio while scrubbing is on in user prefs, and that the audio is not muted. But i hear nothing, though i can see the waveform. The soundcard is an ess maestro with WDM drivers on win2k sp2. Any ideas on how to configure the audio correctly??

Hi all

OK i found the solution on softimage sight. The first time you run the software xsi looks for the audio device. It stops at the first one it sees and if this does not work then that's that !!! The most likely cause of a problem here is having a wave device installed for your modem. So i had to disable the wave device before uninstalling and reinstalling xsi...it all works now, thank god!!
