I operate a camera array. I take a shot. An image sequence is downloaded to a network drive. When all the files appear in a new folder, I need to: - create a new FileIn node, - apply a Stabilize node, - create a new FileOut node and render FileOut node.
It would be nice to have this all happen sequentially with no user input.
well it would be one thing to do that, but like all software...shake is a retarded genius. It works as well as its user can allow it too. meaning you can tell it to do something and it will do it, but if it doesnt like it, its game over. so all in all...
if it IS possible for this to work, would you really want it to? doing camera stabilization is a user defined operation because the computer doesnt know how to judge what is right and wrong without giving it an example of what is correct. if someone can give you an effective way to do this automation, you will only find it taking longer since you have to go back and correct all of your tracks.
Well yes you wouldnt do this in shake, you would make a script that monitors this and then call shake to do the job. Not entirely hard but not necceserily worlds most trivial thing to do tough.
