So my problem is basicly: how do i connect a polyTweakUV node to the shape node of an object (where the history has been deleted) without changing the UV positions?
There is a trick here to populate nodes with data for backfeeding. Its as follows connect the output to thet node. then delerte the conection, the datas now cached so your free to reconnect it back!
However in yoru case its not necceserily as easy see maya creates a tweak node auomaticaly wen the need rises in a animation pipe. Soif you connect the shape of a object to a empty shae maya would behave thisway now you could allways just delete the originator but not th tweak. Im not sure if it works but theres no extra overhead to having a aextra cached shape wich dont evealuate except during load
However you dont need a tweak node if you only plane to move the points in the base uv!
PS invisibility is because it has no shadingnode attached (assign it as hader)
