Hi.
I'm a new max user (used everything else though... mostly Maya and Mobu). Was wondering if anyone can help me with what seems like a basic function I relied quite heavily on in Maya/mobu.
What I'm trying to do:
I'm working with the Biped character fresh out of the box in Max. I'm applying mocap data to this character. I want to make edits to the position/rotation of the COG/BIP on a layer, but have the feet remain true to the position of the lower layer. I've created a layer and used the retargeting tool where I can set the character to respect the animation on the feet from the base layer... but unless the feet are keyed either "Planted IK" or "Sliding IK" the feet won't actually stay put. The only solution I've found is to manually set a key EVERY FRAME on the feet to make them IK. This is ok on a shot that is 100 frames or less... but if I'm dealing with a 400 + frame scene, it's not very efficient.
What I want the solution to be:
I just want to plot IK sliding keys to the feet with a 1 step process, similar to plot in Mobu, or bake in maya. Does anyone know of a way to bake keys or bake IK keys in max, or possibly know of a script that does just that?
This max noob would be massively appreciative if you could help.
Thanks
Brett
