Baking IK Spline animation onto joints

Is it possible to bake key-frames onto the joints that are moved by an ik spline, then delete the ik spline handle and still have the correct animation?

yes, with the command edit>keys>bake Simulation
set your options and voila... you can delete the handle now...

aha! muchos gracias... i was trying to bake on the curve, hoping it would filter down onto the joints (which of course it didn't), but i select the joints, bake simulation and my problems are solved... duh! how did i miss that????? many thanks for your help.
