Okay, I am not a pro, but I have just started my course and will be studying full time next year. I have, however, watched a lot of cartoons in my time
I don't really have any negatives, but I will tell you what I liked about the animation:
Great poses and very good characterisation (the old rule about being able to tell what's going on in silhouette). I particularly liked the dogs dragging himself desperately along the ground and last strangled cry . . . very well done
Simple, but good timing. I liked the fact that you didn't feel the need to "spell out" what happens in the end . . . the short fade to black with the credits and the last shot were all that was needed.
Great use of colour. The first thing I thought when I watched this was "Pixar" in the use of soft oranges and purples for the lighting/shadows. The more I watch Pixar stuff, the more I take notice of the colours and lighting they use.
Certainly got me wanting to animate more!
