Best Computer Specs for Animating

What's the best computer configuration for animating in Maya? I know realtime playback for Maya isn't always possible, but what accounts for the playback? Is it the processor, RAM, graphics card, or video card? Or all of the above? I'm pricing out a good workstation for animating in a pipeline, and I'm looking for the most economical solution.

Well, the processor and the ram for rendering, the graphics card would be just for simulating your object in 3d space, although i think that videocard it is the same as graphic, i think i understood what you might mean by video, some of graphic card with enought amount of ram and processing, yeha they are really expensive, so i guess it isn't include on your cheap finances...

Just look for an average graphic card... And focus on the processor and ram.
This is what makes your render faster....

Best is not defined.

Whats your budget. You can get a pretty ok but still a bit underpowered workstation for about 3,500 euros (about 5000$). But then again you can get a decent computer for 2000 euros (3000$) too it all depends on what your ready to sacrifice.

For example whet do you prefeer

stability over performance?
redundancy versus breakage risk?
assurances versus possibly just wasting your money? (thing is its 50% cheaper to live without assurances, if it happens to work. In which case you get to spend 50% more instead.)

etc...

this stuff is for working so thing is the worst case scenario will usually materialize sooner or later so its best to be prepared.
