I'm having a similar problem here, but do not get a solution.
I was looking for the tutorial in the highend3d's maya FAQ , i did all the things sayed in that post, but something strange ocurr.
i skinned the model, did the rig and the shapes to blend, the sets for the original shape and correspondent vertex in all other shapes, to be used to blend shapes.
Ok, the blend shapes works well. but when i move the entire body, in a group node, the head vertex where the blend shape modifies stay unaffected by the joints, the head remain in the original position, far behind the body, in the place where the character was skinned. I mean, everything works, but the character' head don't moves with the joints, it remain stopped blended with the blend shape.
Is this something i forget? i repeat the process with a simple 3 joints skeleton and a cilinder, skinned then and put the sets in original cilinder in their copy, and got the same problem. I move the joints, the cilinder moves too, but when use the blend shapes, the vertices i blended carries back, not following the joints.
Can anybody get me some advice?
