Blendshape Problem (4)

I have a character not bound. I duplicated the characters head, morphed a target from the duplicate, and deleted history on the dup. When I select the morph target and then the original, there is an error that states: 'no deformable objects selected' Here are my Bshape Settings: local origin, check topology checked. Everything else off or at default. I know I am missing something. Thanks in advance.

re you rselecting in component mode perhaps? what does ls -sl say.

thewres no need to delete history it ggets deleted if you have the delete targets option enabled (and you allways should have that)

ls -sl on the original character- "Original" ls-sl on the morph is "|Open|Open" (the name of the mouth shape)
Here is the exact error:

Here is what I did:
I duped the original character and then extracted the head and deleted the rest- I put the duped head in a new scene to have all my Bshapes in one scene. I then deformed the head and reimported it back into the original scene and tried to blend the morphed head into the original full character.

i actualy meant what does the ls -sl say ewwhan you have both objects selected! So i can se what you actualy selected as opposed to what you toufght you selected.

BUT yes you use subids so its important that you uderstand that you might select two objects whike you think your selecting one. One poly shape and one sbd one. Select the shapes manualy (open outliner eneble show shapes).

Secondly you do have a bad naomig convention goinng on!

Yeah that wasnt my 'real' naming convention, I was just openeing a new scene with 'test' geom, so I named them quickly to see if it would work. Also, Both objects are polys- the first obj was converted into a subdi then converted back to polys at one point, and the name stayed. But I got it to work- thanks for the suggestions!

Hey i'm facing the same problem now and I'm wondering how you got it to work. I only have these same errors // Error: line 0: Target repodeummy5Shape does not match with base repodeummy6Shape. //

I did the same exact thing you did and followed multiple tutorials
