BLUE: A Short Film

Greetings Everyone,

My name is Christopher Mullins (or "Mully" if you prefer) and I am fairly new to this forum. I've been working on an independent computer animated short film for the past year and a half called "Blue: A Short Film". It's due to release in June, 2003 and I would like to start introducing it to the public; especially other animators and artists.

Please take a moment to visit the promotional site and let me know what you think. I know the teaser leaves something to be desired but, that's why it's called a "teaser".

More animations will come.

Nice.......I've checked out the stills, & the design and production values seem very high, though I would say pitching yourself into this market means your up against the likes of ILM who can do,and have been doing this this sort of thing VERY well for a while now......... will let you know more when ive finished downloading the DivX.

I use Maya for modeling with a little help from 3dsMax because the poly tools in Max are sometimes way more reliable.

I handle all of the animation and rendering in Maya as well... though I've been experimenting off and on with Mental Ray.

I especially like that white robot. Overall very high quality in all the work. Impressive renders and nice design.

Nice piece, very strong design work and cinematography. Very limited character animation at this point but i'm sure more is on the way.

Look forward to seeing more as it progresses.

And as for the comment someone made by ILM already does this sort of thing. I think you should take that as a very HIGH compliment. If they consider you to be competing with the likes and RESOURCES of ILM then your in AWESOME shape.

What more can I say? Im a current student, however know a lot about how certain things work. This idea is seriously BRILLIANT! I was gonna say a comment about the ILM remark but as John said, if you and a few others are in the same category, you'll do wonders for the industry.

I dont have any critiques on anything. Blue has a lot of personality from what I saw, so just make sure you put all of your heart into him. He'll bring a lot of attention.
