Ive got a group containing a complex boat and a proxy of that boat(1 cube the same shape as the boat). I have these inside a boat locater and have got this flowing over an ocean with wake - all fine.
But - then i come to final render and i make the proxy invisible and the main boat visible - and the wake goes huge and drowns the boat -i try and lower wake emitter but its all over the place, cant get it anywhere near previous look. I have cache turned on, - i dont understand whats happening - and i cant think of a way of getting the boat to mirror the proxy movements without being parented to it.
any ideas what im doing wrong?
I didnt think the visibility of an object in a group would affect the wake?
