I'm looking for some advice about breaking into the industry as a Character TD or Rigger. Are there any aspects of riggin that tend to be more important to recruiters than others? For example, I've got a good handle on skeletal systems, deformers, MEL scripting, etc, but am still relatively unexperienced in the ways of hair and cloth, and my skinning and weighting still needs a bit of improvement. Does this dramaticly hurt my chances with serious company, or are they willing to take in artists who are a little green but have loads of potential?
I guess if I'm honest I'm just worried that I'm not amazing enough to play with the big boys. Any advice on gauging my talents?
Thanks,
Nick
