Hello
I have been using XSI for a few months now, but I still havnt understood bumpmaps in it.
Lets say I connect a texturemap to the diffuse channel of a shader, I can then check "bumpmap" to use the same texture for diffuse as for bump, but what if I wanna have different maps for the diffuse and the bump?
I tried to connect an imagemap to the bump channel on the shader but it doesnt work properly, I also tried to connect the a texturemap to the bumpchannel on the material itself, it looks a bit different, but not right at all.
What is the difference between these anyway, and how are they supposed to be used?
So my question is: how do I handle the bumpmapping in XSI??
