C* issue

Ok, is it just me or does the new Combustion update not let you detatch the menus?? I cant detatch any of the menus anymore, they just stay stuck in that little area at the bottom.

Oh yeah and another issue i have is: Does any ever notice that C* throws in a black frame every once in a while??? sometimes Ill be workin with a bunch of stuff and all of a sudden in the middle of the "program" theres a black frame.....really annoying!...i dunno Ive checked through my layers to see if there is any reason for this to happen but I can never find one.....

Hi..

Yeah.. When I loaded Cv2.1 I Too was caught off-guard by the "change" that I no longer could tear-off the menu tabs.........

They are NOT gone: Just open your Preferences, and you can choose to SET the menus to be "floating."
There was a really looooong thread about WHY Discreet changed this over at the Combustion COW Forum (http://www.creativecow.net) ...Something about Adobe "patents" and such....

thats the only way??? how inconvenient! cuz i only want to tear it off for small periods of time, so now if i want to put them back in i have to go and change the preferences and then restart the program? man, thats the dumbest thing ever! AAAAAARGH!

Here is the official response to your questions:

From time to time, Discreet, in consultation with its lawyers, reviews features of its products and assesses risks involving third parties' intellectual property rights. As a result, we've decided to make certain changes to a number of the Discreet products. Pending further legal review, we are under instructions from our lawyers to not discuss the matter further.

I apologise but it is a legal issue as mentioned above..

As for the black frames occuring I have not seen this problem. However I suggest you flush your cache. This can be done by right-clicking on the small RAM Meter at the bottom right of the screen.
