i created my project in combustion3.
since i can't playout from this machine, i'm rendering onto another machine with edit and a matrox digisuite. now my problem:
on my C3 machine im working on a geforce3. since rendering an image sequence would take DAYZ that i dont have i render my footage with a matrox digisuite software codec so that importing in edit should go
really fast while i dont really loose image information (Matrox M-JPEG,lossless).
now edit has a problem with the files, 1 out of three it says is corrupt, the other ones appear as black frames with irregular fuckups only after importing. strangely i can play the .avi files in windows on the same machine without any problems.. !?!
so i imported the files into a combustion v.2 that runs on my edit machine to re-encode them in edit pal lossless (which is quite stupid in theory but it kinda works) but here combustion displays and renders black frames after about 1min40secs in each file! (all files are
below 2gig in size)
i checked my composition in C3 - all good,
the output files are o.k. on both machines
only c2 and edit [censored] it up it seems.
my only theory would be that the Geforce cant really
do the lossless encoding i chose which causes problems with the real matrox digisuite lossless format. but why
the hell can i play it in plain windows media player and
where do the black frames at the end come from in C2???
currently i'm re-rendering the parts that c2 has problems with but this costs time..
i'd be glad for some ideas on this
since i have to work on these machines the next few
months.
