Ok consider that you do not underastand aim.
Lets think here for a moment how go you aim, you point something at something. Surem does that describe how ive pointed the thing? A definite NO! Let me elborate a bit for example if you instruct a neanderthal to point a gun at the banana over there you will provbably not get it right. Altough you might becase the neanderthal is intteligent and the gun is designed to fit the hand. Why is this? You need to guide him how to grab the gun first and then what end to aim.
Aiming actutualy carries 4 pieces of information NOT 2 like most humans seem to asume, its just that msotly for humans the 2 others are implied, for the computer they are too, its just they are the settings you used last, but thats a bit random. *
Okay so theres 2 thing The node contains the 2 other descriptord wich are vectors.
The first one is aim direction this si a vecrtor that defines wha orientation in localspace defines direcction. Now for cameras (spots are cameras) this direction is a vector of <>
THen theres the up vector wich in yoru case probably should be <>
so hit control-a and find the aim tab and set the values right.
Then for the question why wasnt the aim set like that, well because it was last used to aim something else.
- for some obscure reason theres samll amount of people who find this so ood that they cant get past it. TRust me it just makes sense, imena ive over the years made thsi same post over and over again and allways made a shnitychek with some nontechy person reading the text afterwards if the uer didnt understand and ofr some reason havent yet encountered a person who didnt get it at first go.
