Can Cloth do anything besides flags?

Okay, I'm ready to move beyond flags and simple shirts.

I want to know how to:
- Add a collar
- Put a tie under that collar
- Have cloth overlap with buttons (like the front of a button down shirt)
- Look like it's something thicker then paper
- Make a pleated (sp) skirt or pant legs
- Have actual seam lines where clothing parts meet.

So far it seems to me that all Cloth is good for is:
- Simple seamless garments (pretty fake if you ask me)
- Flags and other square-like simple things

Please tell me I'm wrong. I looked all over the net and in my books and all I know how to do is make a pretty fake looking t-shirt.

first of all, all that you want to know is possible. I had done all of it, only the tie I have not done yet.

To explain you all this things to do, it will be very time consuming to write it down on perhaps 100 papers, therefore I could write a book about it, with a lot of tutorials. But there isn

Okay, well I spent the last few days trying to just make a pleated skirt like this: skirt

Looks simple... I've tried constraints, painting bendAngle and many patterns. No matter what I do it just flattens out and never creases.

It shouldn't be this difficult. I select a seam set the crease to 90 or more and the crease stiffness to 50-100 and nothing... it just goes flat. My bend resistance is set to 60 (U/V).

I must be doing something off or I just don't get this whole system.

Any help would be great. I wish there were more tutorials out there for various clothing types.
