can we ban people with mail.ru adresses? or atleast stop new ones with that addres form posting anything

Will tried banning all the russian ip addresses before and we ended up banning many of the oldest members on the forum/listserve.

So doing a profile cration date cutoff is out of the question? Howabout listing all potentials and then doing a quick human hurestic on them.

Yes 1/2 of all spam was from @mail.ru.

By the way could wa have the following icon somehow placeble in the new forums text editor its kindof important when talking to maya newbies:
