If anyone could please suggest the easiest way to do this and with the best control...
I am trying to make a cape for my superhero character, who will later be a very animated little bugger.
I would like to know how to make this cape, so that it will behave appropriately when the character is jumping, running, fighting, etc. I have tried making a nurbs plane into a softbody, and then applying air , turbulence, and gravity. But when I try to keyframe him, the cape does not stay connected to his body. I have considered using Maya Cloth. I have never used it before, starting looking at the tutorial stuff and asking around about it, but so far it seems that Cloth may not have the kinda controllability I'd want, and be way more trouble than I'm ready for right now. I'm not sure. I would like to explore any way at all to make this happen. I just want a nice cape, that will react to gravity, air, and all my characters' motions.
I have even considered using bones on the nurbs plane,
if anybody has any ideas, or has tried this before, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Frustrated and not seeing the light,
