Chain- softbody explodes on collision

i have a chain i made with spheres i made it softbody, i ahve a cros which is passive body...now when i play it ...the moment the chain collides with the cross it explodes...i cant seem to figure out y...plz help.

Check your solvers/ oversampling settings you probably need to turn that up. Basically what oversampling does is calculate multiple times per frame. that should fix it.

So In Dynamics->Soliver->Edit Oversampling Settings

nope its not working i made the oversampling as 50 but it only slows the stimulation doesnt stop the explosion ...did u test it out on the file i attached? wat value did u use? was it working

what version of maya are you using> I couldnt open the file. I would turn the conserve down to like .98, check your dampening, and your weight, and your spring stiffness, and rest length. Although If prior to the collision, it's behaving properly, I would venture to say it has something to do with your "geoConnector"... anyway, if you could export it, maybe I could take a look at it...
