Change current time (marker) in graph-editor?

Hi,

I wonder if I can drag the time-marker within the graph-editor. Using the time-line is annoying because I have to work in two different windows and can't pan/zoom in the way I am used to from graph-window.

I tried all possible MODIFIER-KEY-combinations to somehow drag the time-marker in Graph-window but it just seems fixed. Dragging it there would be just locigal, so I thought I missed a sentense in the manuals.

Does anyone has an ideas? Maybe some MEL-Lines?

Oh, BTW: Changing the Timer-Markers color would be nice cool. I read a thread, that's not possible, but that was 2002. Maybe aw already fixed this.

Yes ususlay one would do this in dope sheet. But yes its its perfectly possible to do it in the graph editor the trick here is to use your middle mouse button in conjuction with move tool (you can aslo scale with the scale tool).

wow. Thanks for this ultra-fast answere. But I wanted to drag the time-marker. Not keyframes. I am already using the move/scale-tool for keyframes and find it really cool. (Although it was hard to learn.)

Let's say I have a graph-editor and want to change values in the perspective view. So I have to change to the time-line and drag the time-marker there. Sometimes I even have to change the range-slider.

Do you have an idea?

OH sorry i missunderstood your question.... Offcourse you can pan and zoom in the graph window the shortcut is exactly the same as for pan and zoom in the perspective view (alt middlemouse to pan and alt right + middle to zoom in/out), also buttons like f and a work like they would in a viewport.

As for moving the time slider inside the graph try hitting down k, whille holding down a mousebutton to slide current time about. This works in most views including perspective and the graph editor. So you neednt worry about even switching back to the graph editor (you can in fact hide the time slider alltogether and just rely on hud feedback if you wish)

Thanks for this help! Is there a list of those short-cuts? Like '100 thinks you didn't know about maya'. I read large amounts of the documentation but never found brilliant hints like this one.

Another question:
1. Can I change the font-types and sizes for different elements. I am working with numbered motion-trails but the numbers are too big...
