Changing the colors of the UI

Is it possible to change the color of the Maya interface from the default system color to something much more slick, like say, dark gray?

I think perhaps you are misunderstanding... Where in there is the option to change the actual color of the Maya windows? That is what I am asking, not how to change the color of things in the viewport. I'm talking about the actual windows that Maya lives in which are (on NT systems) a default beige or gray color like every other window in the system. I want Maya to look more like Shake, a dark gray environment.

No maya uses the sytem settings for this so...

but you can change all the windows to dark gray from the properties of windows!

...yeah...you can do more than change the colour of the 3D view in the windows>prefs>colours editor. If you actually look through the OTHER options as well as the other two tabs including "Active" you can change the colours of ANYTHING you want.

but yeah, you can always just right-click on your Windows Desktop and go properties>appearance>advanced. There you can select what colours you prefer for different things, including active windows etc.
