Checkbox Query

Hi,

1)   cmds.checkBoxGrp('NM\_CheckRenumber', edit=True, value1= RGCheckRenumber)

          When i click on the check Box, in python, what is the approach to get the return value, i.e. whether the check box has been clicked or not. ( I am calling the query command from another procedure and the return value I at present am getting is 0 all the time, though I have clicked on the check box)

    2)   	cmds.textFieldButtonGrp(NM\_Con\_PathFolder, edit=True, bc= ("NM\_Proc\_BrowseFolder"))

           Need to pass a parameter along with the command in the bc parameter. How is it possible

    3)      publishDir = cmds.textFieldButtonGrp(query=True, text =NM\_PublishField)

           Although NM\_PublishField is defined, there is an error here.

     Is there any help on syntax for python for maya besides what is their in the default help

BRgds,

knish

in essence the python binding is mel. So

inorder to querry something you must poinnnt to what you querry.

So example:

CODE
from maya.cmds import *

window = window()
columnLayout()
nameOftextFieldButtonGrp=textFieldButtonGrp( label='Label', text='Text', buttonLabel='Button' )
showWindow( window )

so now you would querry it with:

textFieldButtonGrp (nameOftextFieldButtonGrp, q=True,text=True)

ofcourse nameOftextFieldButtonGrp which is a string must be known at query time so if you put it in variable then the scope mut vbe available whan you query.
