Hi,
I ran into a problem that I just can't solve and in desperate need of help. For some reason, when I run through the timeline to get my character's clothes to simulate, everything seems fine, a huge cloth cache file is apparently created, but if I save my scene file, exit Maya, and reopen it, all of the cloth positions are lost, or, the cache file fails to load. I get the following message in the script window:
"/ Warning: Cloth cannot solve because run-up is not supported: rewind to first frame and ensure increment between frames is one (check playback preferences or render frame increment). //"
As far as I know, I am doing the above, and following the guidlines mentioned in the Maya Help file for Cloth.
Strangely, if I go into the cloth solver, and specify the cloth cache file manually (which means I browse for the file and choose it, the name of the file not changing in the process), everything seems to return to normal. Unfortunately, when I close the file, and reopen it, or, try to render my scene using a batch file, I run into the above problem again. Anyone knows what the hell is going on?
Thanks,
Brock
