Cloth Error: Step size is greater than frame size

hi sorry if this has already been answered
i;m using maya4.5 and i get this error

Error: Step size is greater than frame size

when i play my scene and it can't calculate for the cloth object
could someone please tell me where to change the attributes for the step size and frame size please
