Combining live action with CG

Hi there! I'm doing something right now that involves combining CG and live action. What am I going to look out for when combining CG and live action. How do you match the live camera perspective with the virtual camera esp. if it's moving? Are there any articles, tutorials, etc. out there in the web that discusses these things? Thanks.

I don't know a tutorial on the web but in the softimage reference guide or animating guide is one. (something with a dinosaur..)

I'd suggest that you track down a book
'The Art & Science of Digital Compositing' By Ron Brinkman pub. Morgan Kaufman. ISBN 0-12-133960-2
It's a true five star's in my opinion, giving simple yet indepth explanations of real world problems, from file types & storage to cinematographic standards.
It's quite pricy, but well worth it if you do any sort of animation / compositing work regularly.

He he - think laterally if your projects on a small scale - rebuild your entire set - including camera in 3d - abstracted of course, and go from their - just write down/note the zoom settings and angles/distances you are working with - you'll be surprised at how it falls into place.

Of course - you could always get some tracking software - that often works, but not always.
