ok, i'm confused. why is combustion on the mac and pc seeing frames that don't exsist in my quicktime file?
I'll explain, I have a clip in FCP thats 40 frames long. I make the in and out 5 frames short on each end making the total now 30 frames. export the new in and out . open quicktime, the clips fine the exact length i need. open it in AE and the same, its fine. go into combustion to to some paint and now that plate has 2 extra frames in the begining? its seeing 2 frames that weren't exported from the in/out i made in fcp. these frames aren't blank , they are the 2 previous frames prior to making my in/outs in FCP? what is going on, yeah two frames no big deal but it is very much so. the clients need the times to be exact for editing. i have at least 60 plates to work with and this could/will be a work flow issue.
Another question
when interrupting footage in AE and guessing pulldown, ae automatically makes it 24 "well you know". combustion doesn't seem to do that, so i take it you have to set it manually? i just wanted to make sure.
thx, jason
