Compatibility Confirmation

Sorry to trouble you guys again, but Im gana spend my money tomorrow, so I have to make sure these hardwares are compatible with eachother

CPU: Xeon E5410
MB: S5000XVNSATAR
RAM: FBD rams

Most important thing is the compatibility between CPU and MB

It seems S5000XVNSATAR only support DDR2-667/PC2-5300 and DDR2-533/PC2-4200 not FBD rams, and the speed is only 533/667, isnt it a little slow for a highend MB??

yes, E5410 CPU is compatible with that mb.

that mb CPU combo is 1333FSB, not 1600FSB, thus for the RAM speed.

if you want 1600FSB, it would have to be different CPU, and a MB with Intel Seaburg chipset, unfortunately Intel don't make an Intel Seaburg chipset mb

So the ram speed = cpu speed/2 is that right? So if I use E5410 CPU then 667ram is ENOUGH, or it MUST be 667?

And to me it seems S5000XVN and X7DWA-N is almost the same, so which one you prefer?

Well fsb and memory speed makes quite considerable difference especially in raytracuing since it uses many memory lookups to accelerate stuff. So i would defintely go with the faster mobo.
