ok I rendered out a tiff sequence with zdepth and alpha channel and did the same for a corresponding particle sequence which is suppose to composite into a cylindrical object but it seems to have rough edges on both the alpha and color channels creating a composite that doesn
try checking the "premultiplied with" button in combustion, under the footage controls for your particles matte layer.....I dunno maybe this will help. The only other thing I think it could be is you rrender quality in maya, but im sure you thought of that....
