ok, i am animating a chord/rope. the setup is:
ik spline handle on a curve and row of joints. when i move the vertices on the curve the joint chain remains correct length and movement can be keyframed. here's the problem:
i need to "plug" in the power chord to the side of a ship, so that when the ship lifts, the chord follows, i need to constrain or parent the first vertex to the "ship". i cannot get this to work, as it won't let me parent or constrain a single cv point. how do i do this? right now i'm just keyframeing all the cv's to the movement of the ship, but i know there is a way to "lock" the cv to the object. thanks for any replies
