Control keys' colors in Graph Editor

Hi,

Is there a way for me to control the colors of keyframes in the Graph Editor?

For now, its black for not selected, and yellow while selected. Other than these two states, I would like assign more states to the keyframes.
I've assigned certain characteristics for some of my keyframes, and this list of keyframes with special characteristics are stored in a list (along with the scene). Can I change their keyframes color in the Graph Editor(so that I can have visual feedback of the keyframes that are in this special list) ??

Yes you can >> Preferences/Settings > Colors > Animation,Animation Editor , find what you need to change and go right ahead ... lol.. have fun .

Hmm...I don't really get it. My impression is that it must be done with a MEL script or something... Pls hear me out..
For now, color of the active keyframes can be set under Active>Animation>Keys. So my active list will take the specified color.
What if rather than using the active list, I have my own custom list of keyframes, let's call them ABCkeys. Can I set the color of these keys by creating a new category, something like Active>Animation>ABCkeys?
It looks like General>User Defined>User Defined1/2/3... can do the job. So how do I go about using these User defined colors?

Are you trying to change the color of the keys themselves or the curves made by the keys? I've been trying to figure out how to change the color of curves in the graph editor of custom attributes. It's nice to have the RGB colors for the rotate and translate channels... I want that for when I've added 25 attributes to a hand control.

One more thing - I've seen the color of the "current time marker" in the graph editor changed to other colors than the annoying light gray that i can hardly see. any ideas?

"current time marker" in the graph editor? Isn't it red? If I don;t interpret you wrongly, you might want to try Window>Setting/Preferences>Colors, under Genereal Tab, look for Animation.

Hi tom, can you be more specific? I still couldn't find it

What i mean to do is not to change the default colors of my keys now, but to add more colors. For example, I have a list of keys with special attribute ABC, and another list with special attribute PQR, and so on. Can I set such that the list of keys with special attribute ABC in my graph editor blue color, and the list of keyframes with special attribute PQR to be red, and so on. Its a visual guide to let me look at the graph editor and I can distinguish the varius groups of special keys at one glance... any ideas?

No, the current time marker in my graph editor isn't red actually. It's grey. I wish it was red. My color preferences show "Current Time" as red... I don't get it.
