I am currently seeking some guidance on blendshape weight issues I've recently encountered.
I'm painting blendshape weights on some characters I'm rigging, but I've noticed that whenever I reference more than one of the same character with blendshape weights on it, it seems like the weights become corrupt. If I go into the Paint Blendshape Weights tool while in the file with references, any rig of the same kind that's not the first one which was referenced displays a messed up weight map.
If I import these meshes from the references and attempt to change those weight maps in any way, the file crashes.
If I try to save the file after importing, the file crashes.
If I reload the references, however, I get a warning - Converting string "" to an int value of 0. - and the weights get fixed.
The rig file, however, displays no signs of issues.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any thoughts on what it could be?
