Hi, I've recently just starting getting into XSI and am quite astounded by it's tool set and features (although i still prefer maya's UI, XSI's is still very good), and just generally how well rounded this package is (Alias seem to be slacking off in implementing new features to Maya. Their skinning tools alone need a desperate overhaul). There are just a couple questions i have regarding XSI:

-Selecting polygons. Is there a way or tool option to select polys with the rectangle selection tool where you don't have to ecompass the entire polygon(s) with the rectangle? Raycast selection is good, but being used to how you select polys in Maya and Max, it's not something i'd want to use all the time. Perhaps a script or something?

-Keyframes. Is there a way to display keyframes in the time slider?

-Display mode shortcuts. Can't seem to find a way to bind wireframe and shaded display modes to shortcut keys. I dunno, maybe i haven't looked hard enough, but is it possible?

I would like to know a good shortcut for wireframe/shaded switch. I've been looking for it for a while. I do know that the shortcut F7 will switch to rectangle selection. F8 is lassoo and F10 is raycast. Go to upper right corner and click the "Select" tab > Tools.

I haven't found a way to get the keys to show up on the mini timeslider. It's nice to have in Max as well. The best is to make one of the lower panels an animation editor, switch to dopesheet, and make it really skinny. Sorry I can't be more of a help. I agree about XSI. It's a refreshing change from Max, and a nice compliment. With .obj imports, I can model in Max and animate and render in XSI.
